Best fit for this service
You’ll typically benefit most with parts in this range.

QUANTITY
Dozens to hundreds

SIZE
Small to medium

COMPLEXITY
Medium to high
Mixed designs welcome. Lower quantities may fit for more complex parts. Simple one-off parts and large, heavy components are typically less cost competitive.
A PROVEN SUPPLY CHAIN. ONE PARTNER.
Your parts.
Our manufacturing network.
We developed our supply chain for the parts used in our own machines, fixtures, and automation systems. Today, we use that same experience to help customers source custom components and complete builds.
Send your package to Pipeline. We manage supplier coordination, manufacturing, quality review, and delivery through established overseas and US suppliers.
01
Our quotes include freight, duties, and tariffs for the quoted scope, giving you a clear view of the complete order cost.
02
Access a manufacturing network that can take on challenging geometry and materials, including parts customers have struggled to source elsewhere.
03
Work with one domestic contact for a mixed batch, repeat order, or completed assembly. Your quote includes the expected lead time.
Order repeat components or a mixed package of different designs, with the quantities you need for each part.
Source the custom wear parts and consumable components your manufacturing operation uses regularly.
Turn established designs and drawings into finished tooling, fixtures, and assemblies, with Pipeline managing the build.
MANUFACTURING CAPABILITIES
Machined parts.
More possibilities.
CNC machining is our core focus, supported by additional processes and materials to suit your parts.
PROCESSES
COMMON MATERIALS
Finishing & assembly: Anodizing, including hard anodize, powder coating, kitting, and component assembly are available when included in your quote. Other engineering materials may also be available—send your requirements.
CUSTOMER EXAMPLES
Three ways customers
put Pipeline to work.
From difficult consumables to complete fixture builds, the value goes beyond sourcing an individual part.
RECURRING PRODUCTION CONSUMABLES
A difficult material.
A longer-lasting part.
A large domestic OEM wanted to replace expensive stainless-steel consumables with tungsten carbide. The geometry was challenging, and the customer couldn’t find a shop able to make it in the required material.
Pipeline’s overseas supply chain manufactured the tungsten-carbide parts at a fraction of the cost of the previous stainless-steel versions. The new parts lasted longer in use.
The result: longer service life, lower part cost, and recurring orders through an open purchase order.
BUILD-TO-PRINT
Approximately 50 fixtures.
One manufacturing partner.
A medical device manufacturer needed duplicate fixtures for a new production line. Designs and drawings were complete, but the build involved many different manufactured parts.
The customer sent the entire package to Pipeline. We coordinated manufacturing through our cost-competitive overseas supply chain, assembled the components, and delivered finished tooling and fixtures.
The result: ready-to-use fixtures, without the customer managing multiple shops or dedicating internal resources to the build.
MIXED MACHINED PARTS
Different parts.
One well-matched order.
A customer sent several dozen medium-size, medium-complexity parts—mostly different designs, with multiple quantities of some components. They were thrilled with the price and finished-part quality.
During quoting, Pipeline also spotted manufacturability issues. The customer revised the designs and reduced costs further.
The result: competitive pricing for a mixed batch, plus additional savings from customer-approved design changes.
Results are specific to these projects. Informal feedback during quoting is discretionary; comprehensive DFM review is a separately quoted engineering service.

BEFORE YOU SEND YOUR RFQ
A few useful details.
Tell us what matters for your parts so we can account for it in the quote.
Do I need drawings to get started?
Our strong preference is 3D models plus 2D drawings defining tolerances, surface finishes, materials, and coatings. We can also start with CAD models, material, and quantities, then clarify the requirements with you.
Can I send different parts in one package?
Yes. Mixed batches can be a strong fit. Dozens to hundreds of medium- to high-complexity parts are the sweet spot. Ten or more basic- to medium-complexity parts may also be competitive, and lower quantities can work for more complex parts.
Is engineering or DFM review included?
Formal design-for-manufacturing review is available as a separately scoped, paid engineering service. Our engineers may notice an issue or suggest a change during quoting, but a comprehensive audit or design validation is not included by default. Design responsibility remains with the customer.
Where are the parts made, and how long does it take?
Pipeline uses established overseas and US suppliers. Lead times are generally about two weeks, depending on the order. Your quote will state the expected schedule; delivery dates are estimates unless expressly committed in writing.
What about inspection and material certificates?
Pipeline coordinates quality review against the specifications accepted for your order; inspection may use sampling. Material certificates are available on request and may be supplied in Chinese for overseas-sourced orders. Include inspection, certification, and language requirements with your RFQ.
What is included in the quoted price?
Quotes include freight, duties, and tariffs for the quoted scope. Any tooling, finishing, assembly, or engineering work should be identified in the quote. Changes to scope or costs after quoting are handled under the quote and applicable procurement terms.
