PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
• Develop a housing design for a USB-enabled printed circuit board light meter
• Must design housing to accommodate existing PCB
• Include optical element for receiving light
• Shape housing to be aesthetically attractive as well as ergonomic
SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES
The client approached Pipeline with the request for a light meter housing that had a more modern aesthetic appeal than existing light meters on the market. The PCB for the product had already been developed and as such the housing design needed to be able to accommodate the existing board.
One of Pipeline’s industrial designers developed several aesthetic forms and collaborated with the client to converge on one design. Several photorealistic renderings were created to communicate the aesthetic and ergonomic form of the case.
