EZ R&D Quickmount Base

The EZ R&D Breadboard Quickmount offers users a fast, easy, and tool-less method for mounting objects to “parent” systems. For example, mounting a tool to a baseplate, or a device to a machine, etc. The Quickmount is comprised of two components: a base with quick release mechanism, and a plate that locks into the base. A quick 1-second actuation of the quick release mechanism either locks the plate to or releases the plate from the base. When locked together, the connection between the base and plate is secure and robust, with virtually no play.  

Tools or devices are commonly fastened to the Quickmount plate, thereby enabling rapid locking or releasing of the tools or devices (via the attached plate) from the Quickmount base. Often a single base is fastened to the parent system (an optics breadboard, a machine, a test fixture, etc) and multiple devices (each with a Quickmount plate attached) are swapped in and out of the parent system. This allows users to swap tools and devices in and out of their parent system environments quickly, easily, and without the need for any tools.
