Design Accelerator: Magnetic Device Holder – CAD Download

This is similar to the toggle clamp device holder. The difference is that this one uses a magnetic clamshell, which allows the overall footprint of the holder to be smaller. That’s the advantage over the toggle clamp version, it can be smaller. It is not as secure a holder, though, since the magnetic force holding the two halves together is relatively small. It’s a good solution for holding a device in the same place as long as no significant forces are being applied to the device. A good companion or supplement to the toggle clamp version of our device holder.
