With the constant evolution of 3D printing technology, and the ability to print with materials other than just plastic, options are nearly limitless. In one case in India, a 3D-printed vertebrae was successfully implanted in a woman with spinal tuberculosis, allowing her to walk again. Another 3D-printed vertebrae was implanted into a after finding he had bone cancer and a vertebrae needed to be removed.

These are not the only cases of 3D printing being used in the medical field. There are so many possible medical applications for 3D printing, including replacement bones, prosthetics, medical equipment, dentistry, and more. Medical uses for 3D printing are being researched and advancements are being made every day.
