Jeff Christian started his career as a machinist. He then earned a degree in manufacturing engineering. Eventually, he graduated with a degree from the Stanford School of Business. During his stint at his company, Phoenix DeVentures), he emphasized a critical methodology for developing new products successfully. In fact, this method was so important that each time he started a new company the first thing he did was buy machining equipment and teach the engineers how to use it.
